According to Princess Salno of Selgina (possessed by the ancestral spirit of a Venusian survivor): roughly 5,000 years ago, Venus (Mars in Western dubs) flourished with an advanced civilization far surpassing contemporary Earth. Without warning, King Ghidorah materialized from the void, transforming the vibrant planet into a scorching, desolate wasteland devoid of life in just three catastrophic days.

In the winter of 1964, Ghidorah's flaming meteorite crashed into Japan's Kurobe Valley. Emitting powerful magnetic fluctuations that disrupted compasses, the meteorite fractured violently in a towering pillar of golden flame, giving birth to King Ghidorah as he unfurled his wings into the night sky to commence Earth's annihilation.
