Titanosaurus (Showa 1975)

Unlike many kaiju born of nuclear mutation or cosmic origin, Titanosaurus is an ancient aquatic dinosaur species that survived through millennia in the deepest abyssal trenches off the Bonin (Ogasawara) Islands.

In the late 1950s, marine biologist Dr. Shinzo Mafune announced the discovery of the colossal living dinosaur and asserted that he had formulated acoustic methods to manipulate its nervous system. Instead of acclaim, Tokyo's scientific establishment ridiculed and dismissed him as a madman, casting him out of the scientific community.

Nursing bitter resentment over fifteen years of self-imposed exile at his coastal villa in Manazuru, Mafune located Titanosaurus and won its passive submission. When the Black Hole Planet 3 Aliens allied with Mafune and revived his fatally wounded daughter Katsura as a cyborg, they integrated Titanosaurus's telemetry control mechanism directly into Katsura's cybernetic chest. Stripped of its peaceful nature, Titanosaurus was forced into servitude as an instrument of human annihilation.

Titanosaurus exhibits a hybrid anatomy combining bipedal carnivorous theropod features with specialized deep-sea adaptations:

• Vibrant Orange-Red Hide & Black Rosettes: Covered in tough, reptilian scales patterned with bright orange-red pigmentation, black leopard-like spots, and a pale yellow underbelly suited for pelagic countershading.

• Confusion Upon Liberation: When Katsura takes her own life to sever the mind-control broadcast, Titanosaurus immediately becomes disoriented, losing its combative drive and standing helpless on the battlefield.

Titanosaurus's acute auditory and neural receptors are fatally sensitive to artificial high-frequency acoustic waves. When INTERPOL deploys their truck- and helicopter-mounted Supersonic Oscillator, the resonant sound waves disrupt Titanosaurus's nervous system, causing uncontrollable muscular spasms, extreme disorientation, and agonizing paralysis.
