Mother Longlegs (scientific classification: *Arachnida Malum*) is a terrifying predatory arboreal superspecies classified under Florafauna, prowling the dense bamboo groves and jungle canopies of Skull Island in the MonsterVerse. Endowed with eight elongated stilt-like legs extending 5 to 7 meters that flawlessly mimic vertical mature bamboo stalks, Mother Longlegs is an ambush predator par excellence. Suspended high above the canopy floor, its central spiked body houses clusters of multi-directional compound eyes, muscular prehensile pedipalp tendrils, and venomous fangs capable of injecting rapid neurotoxins. During the 1973 expedition, a Mother Longlegs ambushed Monarch surveyors and soldiers before being brought down through focused infantry fire directed at its leg joints.
